What are the art and design elements and how do we use them.

indt/adv - I need your address and a working blog post by Wednesday. you need to re-organize your pages if you are returning so it shows the difference between semesters. :)

the art elements are -

Line (which can be an edge in 3d), value (which can be thickness or weight in 3d), shape, form, space, color & texture
they are like the building blocks of a project

The composition (the artwork put together using art elements)  - can be talked about with the language of Design elements - they are -

Balance, Contrast, movement, emphasis, Pattern, Rhythm, proportion and Scale, Unity or Harmony.

When we write about our work to turn in we will talk about
what is it - the media
how we made it - the skills
how it uses art elements
how it is composed of design elements
and all together what our experience of it is - mood, feeling or
