Monday 9/30 - Kilns are out!

Time to think about firm slab.

If you have something out of the kiln that's shiny - grade it.

If it's out of the bisque - wash it and glaze it tomorrow.

Put in grades for websites. Make sure yours is up to date.
Weekly working blogs need photos relevant to what you are doing. Easy to do with an Ipad.
Need to have tall project and bowls on grading blog now.

Friday - 9/27 - make sure you don't let stuff dry out!

Moving on to the firm slab!

Get your pinch pot finished ASAP - grades going in by Tuesday.

Some glaze is out - take a look to see what is possible, and maybe how much glaze is too much or not enough.

Make sure you are keeping your notes up to date!!

Make sure you have photos on your blog - use the ipad, takes like five whole minutes - tired it. Easy!!
make sure you then go back and edit the pictures on a computer.

Will be entering grades by Friday for bowls and tall project so make sure they are in your grading blog and that you have talked to me about them.

A pumpkin, or closed form is a wheel altered form - which is the next assignment after the set of three. Make sure your finished pieces are in your grading blog and let me know when they are up so we can put the grade in skyward.

If your pinch project is at least leather hard, please put it on the bisque cart in kiln room.

remember - expectations for coil pot
- every coil smoothed inside as you make it so it's solid.
- three kinds of coils,
-positive & negative space,
-has a distinct form (3d shape - not straight up and down like a pop can.)
-Has pattern and rythem.

Bisque is out 9/16 and will be reloaded on Wednesday with pinch pots n more.

ADVANCED - review foot rings if you need to. No foot ring - no fire.

we will need to get the glazes going so we can glaze by Wednesday at the latest.

Set of three is next

Make sure you have personalized the photo on your website - must be your picture.
