rule one - do not string the base

rule two - cut to fit measuring with the calipers and cutting with the pin tool on the wheel

rule three - slip and score and attach on the wheel - you can carve down a too thick project with a footing tool first.

rule four - you have just joined clay so make sure you wrap up the project tightly and then dry slowly.

note keep pieces well wrapped if you are waiting for the last piece.

once they are together -- you can decorate by carving or adding clay.

talk with your team and on your tool kit record who is doing what part - base, middle and or top,
what kind of shape do you want? plain or fancy?

All Franken pots need to be photographed and documented and the advanced/intermediate members' working blog with pics of each person and their part, the whole going together and the finished project on your grading blog. Each beginning member must do a pink sheet following the progress of the project.

EACH TEAM SIGNS UP FOR ONE WHEEL - you need to work as a team as each person throws. You need to finish throwing all parts by Wednesday. Attach the parts no later than Friday - or disqualified and no points.

make sure you do NOT cut projects off the batts the day you make them.

You will get a cleaning grade today for your before work and after work clean up.

fist 12 minutes of class -

pd. 3 Clean all dry things, no water - move all wheels and sweep in the wheel area. all jobs except -
tool people - put tools in the correct place and clean tables.

pd. 4 - wash batts and rings and throwing buckets - all
except tool people - wash all tools

pd. 5 - clean other batts and rings and throwing buckets as well
water people do water
tool people clean all tools
counter people clean all counters as well as inside and outside of cupboards.

Where do you put the water from your throwing bucket?
----- the 'final' bucket by the back door
Where do you clean your ring, tools and sponges?
------ the 'second' bucket on the table
what if there is no water there?
----- get water from the "first" bucket or the wash pan in the sink

Water starts in the sink goes to first, second and final buckets then out the door.

Clean up your ring, clean your tools or ELSE

You must have three finished projects in the grade book. All projects due this quarter must be finished and in the grade book with in three weeks of their due dates.
