What have you entered in the art show? - list - if you haven't yet get a chrome book and enter - link here

What is the state of your Frankenpot - who made what? How did is, or will it go together?

Make sure you wrap it day one - after that let it dry SLOWLY in a locket 'till after break.

What am I bringing in for the art show?
 ----- name the piece or pieces - beginning minimum of one, intermediate, two, advanced three pieces.
When am I bringing it in?
------ must be entered on line by Thursday and brought in by Friday. Show is the Thursday after Break!!!

Frankenpots must be finished on Friday
All advanced/intermediate team members need to document the process with photos on their working blog.

every team gets the same amount of clay - you will get a precut 2" cube from Ms. H. Using an unregulated amount of clay will disqualify your team.

one person throws the base, the other two throw cylinders without a base. Use the calipers to make sure they are the same circumferences.

keep the pieces leather soft until they are ready to put together. make sure you connect them well.

All work in wet clay for Frankenpots needs to be done by Wednesday  need to be joined by Thursday.

each team needs to reserve one wheel for today and tomorrow

Make sure you have picked up your new progress scale and are at work on this quarters' projects. I will return your other scales and packets tomorrow.

Keep same clean up teams until Tuesday.

Bring in admissions for the art show Mon, Tues and Wednesday as well. Sign up on line and bring in art.

Get your progress scale out of your packet to continue to use it.

grading clean up

I;ve noticed that about 1/3 of you clean all the time, the rest clean half the time or none of the time.

Since it's not fair to others who use the room as well and since the room is being used SO much we need a way to make sure it keeps clean.

Thus we will be going to grading clean up --- I am open to suggestions. Talk with your team for the first 7 minutes of class and come up with some ideas - write them on a card and give them to me.

the rubric looks like this - the link is on the page with the instructions -

you need to use it to organize your packet - and using a pencil score yourself on what you have in it. I will then check it over - and see how on target your self evaluation is. :)

We use a rubric to evaluate work - however, what really does the rubric represent?

"Skill- set" - techniques, ideas, art elements, and design elements that you need to learn for the unit/project.

'Scale' for points - understanding the difference between just showing a skill or technique and using it to express an idea, feeling or mood.
