Welcome to Fine Art at MSHS - My students are fantastic! Click here for link to google drive with possible updates!
Most all lessons are on this website, aheidemanart.com, under the tab ‘ceramics’ - or "2D art" . It is extremely important that the website is shown - in 103 there is a projector, in 105 there is the wall monitor/T.V. (there is a remote for it under the front laptop) - students are responsible for writing down what is on line on their work - logs. If it is Monday, they need to pick up a new one.
Classroom expectations and rules are under the ‘file cabinet’ tab so please take a little time and familiarize with what is expected. They all know what is expected also.
· I am in 103 pd. 2, then the ceramics room, 105, 3rd, first lunch, then 4, &5. (lunch is before pd. 4 - called first lunch M-T and first on Friday, but after pd. 4)
·
Bryce Meserve teaches at main campus periods 3-6 in room 103 and is very helpful. Pd 1 he is at Freshman Campus.
Student assignments can be found on line on the daily blog under the class tab - (Link here) Ceramics for all periods)
(link here) for drawing and painting
· These classes are mixed with beginning, intermediate, and advanced students.
· The intermediate and advanced students will work independently as they have their own assigned projects.
· The beginning also knows what they need to work on, however, it is more of a challenge for some to get going.
· The biggest concern for all classes and all students is clean up, which is done in teams and they each have an assigned job that they need to do. Ceramic students have assigned team clean up job.
clean up is here
· The clean-up list is under the Ceramics Tab labeled, “ceramics clean up”. Please project the list 15 minutes before end of period. They should start cleaning up 10 minutes for the bell rings.
· Make sure the clay mixer is closed at the end of the day.
· 5th period also puts the chairs up at the end of the period.
OTHER NOTES
I have 2 AP students pd. 4 but their attendance is taken by Mr. Meserve.
The advanced students in ceramics can be very helpful - they can be responsible and can help the new students.
In Drawing and Painting there are only two continuing students.
