upcoming expectations as we finish the year back in our room!!

5/12/2017

At the end of this period we will turn in our pink sheets (or have working blogs ON LINE NOW) for
 - origami
 - first paper clay project
 - second more finished project. see rubric here for your write up

ALSO make sure you have your progress scale out on your desk for me to check and see where you've gotten to - This can affect how your grade is calculated at the end of the term and  needs to account for what we can find when we get back into the room that was ungraded or unfinished .

We should be back in the room on Monday and back to business as usual - electric kilns should function.    :)
but
we are on testing schedule so we will have to use our time mindfully.

We missed 8 days of school - so you will exchange the work we did this week for one project otherwise due. Example it can replace the lidded project. **

However you will still need to do the others in the time we have.

We have 3 weeks of wet clay left - and a disrupted testing schedule. Take advantage of the longer periods to get more projects finished.

Presentations for ALL will be on June 6,7 & 8 following the senior exam schedule. We will suspend doing the yellow sheets for the rest of the term - HOWEVER - during the final two weeks you will get an accountability sheet to record how you spend your class periods.

In the last week of school underclassman will be making tiles for the new school - yes, this will be a required part of your graded work (if you are not graduating.)

**any unrecorded work will not be excused if it is not found when we get back to the room - some assignment requirements will be made on an individual basis depending on where you were on that fateful Wednesday - but I think, if you were on target and on task that all projects, save the last one, can get done. We had introduced all the projects up to the planter before the fires - thus if you were on track you should have been there.
**
The points we earned this week are not replaceable with another project and cannot be made up if you were in class. Nor can you get extra credit if you have not fulfilled the basic assignments first. basic requirements will be bowl one, two, Franken pot, cup, vase, planter and choice.
for intermediate  and advanced can skip one assignment that was due after 5/12.
SEE me if you feel you have specific concerns.
