On your weekly tool kit/notes - to make a coil pot we start with a 1" tall pinch base. EACH and EVERY coil must be well attached before adding the next one. to that use a toothed rib as well as a blue one. see demo.
your pinch pot will probably be either starting to dry or drying. BEWARE - no partially open bags over the weekend - so unless you want it to actually dry - close the bag - it can start to dry slowly on Monday. Monday we will discuss how to get it on the bisque cart and on its journey through the kiln.
NEXT --- If you are done with your pinch project then you can start on the group coil. Or you can jump to the group coil and put finishing touches on your pinch pot later in the week, both must be on the bisque shelf no latter than the end of class Friday next.
Each member of your team needs to fill out a pink sheet with the plan for the group coil project - who is for and what will the purpose be - be thoughtful and creative - who could use a little something???
When you start it each advanced or intermediate student needs to post pics of it in progress on their working blog.
after the group coil beginners will be doing an individual coil project that one should be finished no later than next Friday as well.
